Helping hands

Over the last three years Wigglywoo's has helped various charities and organisations by raising funds through events held, I have also used my sewing and knitting skills along with those of the lovely coffee morning ladies.

Last year with the help of the wonderful coffee morning ladies we made cushions for the "Give a Heart" campaign which is being run by the West Suffolk cancer support group. The last batch we made were collected a couple of weeks ago and will soon be packaged and ready to give to someone who has just had breast surgery due to cancer.
These hearts have been designed so they are perfect to give comfort and relieve pressure from the surgery.

We also sell the heart cushions with all profits going to make more cushions for us to give to the West Suffolk cancer support group. If you would like to purchase one you can do so via our online shop on the website which you can access by clicking HERE

Earlier this year at coffee morning the ladies willingly got out their knitting needles and helped to make "twiddle cuffs" Once knitted they have buttons, bows, buckles and thing else that can be sewn on to make it more sensory and tactile. These are for Alzheimer and dementia suffers, as they are a great calming aid in relieving anxiety and stress.

These are going to local homes in Ipswich and surrounding villages and towns in Suffolk that care for Alzheimer  and dementia suffers. So if you work in the care industry locally and would like some please get in touch.

Until next time, happy crafting!
